The 2010 Winter Olympic mascots have been unvieled. They were chosen among 1,600 submitted designs to represent Vancouver, B.C.
Here they are (drumroll, please):
Yes, it's Sumi the thunderbird, Quatchi the sasquatch and Miga the sea bear.
They were designed by Meomi Design of L.A., which also has a Vancouver branch.
It seems these elegant character have been critically acclaimed by local officials and design gurus alike.
And by elegant I mean silly.
And by critically acclaimed, I mean criticized.

The Olympic mascots always look bizarre. Vancouver's certainly no exception! Maybe I can tell them in person how silly they look. I want to go to the 2010 Games!
